Herman Cain: Blacks Brainwashed by Liberals
Herman Cain’s assertion that African Americans have been brainwashed into not being open-minded, not even considering a conservative point of view is ridiculous. While Mr. Cain comes off as a competent candidate, he is missing the point.
Mr. Cain, who recently won the Florida straw poll has given his candidacy a lift from his performance in beating out Rick Perry. This may force people to take his candidacy more seriously. However, it’s a long way until the election, so anything can happen.
Any Republican, no matter who they are who has the temerity to suggest that African Americans or anyone else is not open-minded, is not dealing with reality. there is no other group in the country who are more narrow minded than Republicans.

Rick Perry is Toast!
Texas Toast
The Republican camp is imploding! They seem to change front runners like we change underwear. After knocking off Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry’s star is beginning to fade. In his third debate this past Friday, he failed to impress. In fact, he actually performed like a sixth grader who hadn’t done his homework; Herman Cain stole the day.
The Republicans have found themselves in a conundrum. Mitt Romney is not getting any love from the extreme right and the tea party. They do not want to promote him as the candidate who becomes the eventual nominee. The other problem, is their hard right candidates will not do well with independents and right of center voters in a primary or general election. This of course, helps Obama in winning a second term and they know it.

Sarah Palin Revelations
Sarah Palin is done!
The bombshell that was dropped this past week by writer Joe McGinniss has rocked the political world. Sarah Palin appears to be another disingenuous conservative who is not what she appears to be. Her conservative credentials have been tarnished and rendered null and void. Hopefully this book, which is an unauthorized biography, will close a chapter in the comic tragedy which is Sarah Palin.

Mitt Romney – Our next President?
At the conclusion of last week’s GOP debate, the big question is, does Mitt Romney have a chance to become president? Before Rick Perry’s entrance into the campaign, Michele Bachmann was the one who seem to be the front runner; now enter Rick Perry. The GOP debate turned out to be a duel between Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.
If this writer had his druthers, I would definitely support Mitt Romney over Rick Perry. While very much an Obama supporter, the current field of Republicans don’t seem to offer much. Rick Perry is certifiably crazy and just as dangerous as Michele Bachmann. It’s interesting that the moderator did not ask Rick Perry about his stance on Texas seceding from the union. One would think, given that position, would you really want a secessionist in the White House?
Rick Perry & N.A.R.
America would become a theocracy under Rick Perry.
Rick Perry appears to be an astute politician, the problem is, his involvement with The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). To say that their ideology is far right is an understatement. They are so far right they make the Tea Party look liberal. NAR is under the belief that if they can convert enough Jews to Christianity they can expedite the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The founding fathers were right to call for separation of church and state. It appears they want to bring America into a right-wing, evangelical theocracy. It’s amazing that most of the American electorate is not aware of Rick Perry’s involvement in this underground, yet powerful movement. As the Republican field gets ready to intensify the battle for their parties nomination, this revelation will more than likely knock Rick Perry out of the race.
NAR has the belief that somehow Democrats are Satan worshipers because of their tolerance to gays. And that Oprah Winfrey is the Anti-Christ? Really? Are you beginning to see how dangerous this group is? They’ve even gone as far to recruit Black pastors to preach to their congregations about the evils of the Democratic party! Absolutely amazing, isn’t it? They absolutely frown on any form of tolerance.
They promote “spiritual warfare” being fought for the souls of those who want to go up in the “rapture.” They believe in fighting evil “principalities” that will wage war in the end times. NAR has a cadre of Messianic Jews, who have converted to Christianity to proselytize Jews and convert them. According to NAR the beast is among us and will fight to defeat and repel the second coming of Jesus in the end times.
Latinos and Immigration
Is the GOP using Latino Politicians as a shill? As we get closer to the election of 2012, Republicans have awoken suddenly to realize that they really need the Latino vote! The Republicans never fail to amaze. they’ve kicked, browbeat and insulted the Latino electorate and now are looking for their support. Really? It may be a little too late, even if there may be some in the Latino community who may set out the 2012 election because of the Democrats failure to address immigration reform.
There’s been a lot of talk about the recent Republican effort to win over Latino voting support. While it may be admirable for the GOP to make an attempt to reach out to Latinos during a presidential election year, I’m afraid that their efforts will be fruitless until they reverse the actions of their dismal record regarding last December’s 2010 dream act vote. It takes a lot of nerve to diss and entire electorate, and then turn around and ask for their support; that takes the proverbial “cojones.”
The dream act would’ve helped thousands of young Latinos realize the American dream by getting a good education. This writer sees it as a win-win. Helping young people who ended up in America through no fault of their own, gaining higher education and securing their place in productive society. Who would be against that? The Republicans that’s who!

Michele Bachmann – GOP Debate
Michele Bachmann did it again! She managed to steal all the attention from the other GOP candidates. And rightly so, while most of us who are serious and sane don’t expect her to get the eventual GOP nomination, her circus of a candidacy is entertaining to say the least.
On a serious note, Michele Bachmann should scare anyone who is in their right mind. Joe Scarborough, from MS NBC’s Morning Joe didn’t hold his tongue when he gave his opinion of Michele Bachmann’s candidacy. I don’t always agree with Mr. Scarborough however, I must say, he got it right this time!
There are a lot of problems with Michele Bachmann’s candidacy. first and foremost, her loose interpretation of historical facts as well as critical issues facing the American electorate. Her cozy, romanticized and sanitary revisionism of American slavery is especially troubling. let’s not forget her husband, Marcus Bachmann and his controversial “counseling clinic.”
Michele Bachmann’s candidacy for the White House is wrong on so many different levels. She’s the head of the tea party caucus that held Congress hostage during the debt ceiling crisis. She has no shame in her game whatsoever. She was willing to allow the United States economy to go over a cliff, because of her extreme right-wing, lunatic fringe beliefs.

Gabrielle Giffords Vote
This past week when Congress passed raising the debt limit, it was a triumphant time for the American people. The surprise appearance by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was a moment that both Congress and the American people needed. In her brief appearance before Congress to cast her vote in favor of raising the debt limit, she gave both houses of Congress, Democrats and Republicans alike a lesson in civility. Her strength and resolve to make the trip to Washington to cast her vote spoke volumes to all Americans. Congresswoman Giffords is a charming and humble public servant. The rest of Congress could learn a lesson from Gabrielle Giffords. Amid much rancor and acrimony, Gabrielle Giffords’ presence seemed to help calm the divide between those factions feuding over the debt limit increase.

Latinos Obama and GOP
The 2012 election will be interesting indeed. With so much going on in the country and in the Congress at this point; where do we have time to talk about immigration? When the 2012 campaign ramps up into full gear, there are a few unresolved issues that will surface to the fore as things get going. Pres. Obama will have his hands full. There’s the nagging issue of what to do about immigration and how to appease Latino voters.
The Latino electorate does not trust Republicans and are frustrated with president Obama. In recent weeks president Obama made a trip which turns out to be a campaign stop in Puerto Rico. He’s the first president since Pres. Kennedy to visit the island. He was greeted with much fanfare and exuberance as the partisan Puerto Rican crowd showed President Obama affection and approval.
