Michele Bachmann – GOP Debate

"Michele Bachmann Lunatic Fringe"
Michele Bachmann is Scary!

Michele Bachmann did it again! She managed to steal all the attention from the other GOP candidates. And rightly so, while most of us who are serious and sane don’t expect her to get the eventual GOP nomination, her circus of a candidacy is entertaining to say the least.

On a serious note, Michele Bachmann should scare anyone who is in their right mind. Joe Scarborough, from MS NBC’s Morning Joe didn’t hold his tongue when he gave his opinion of Michele Bachmann’s candidacy. I don’t always agree with Mr. Scarborough however, I must say, he got it right this time!

There are a lot of problems with Michele Bachmann’s candidacy. first and foremost, her loose interpretation of historical facts as well as critical issues facing the American electorate. Her cozy, romanticized and sanitary revisionism of American slavery is especially troubling. let’s not forget her husband, Marcus Bachmann and his controversial “counseling clinic.”

Michele Bachmann’s candidacy for the White House is wrong on so many different levels. She’s the head of the tea party caucus that held Congress hostage during the debt ceiling crisis. She has no shame in her game whatsoever. She was willing to allow the United States economy to go over a cliff, because of her extreme right-wing, lunatic fringe beliefs.

Joe Scarborough may have said it best. He was commenting on a question posed to Michele Bachmann during the GOP debate. Michele Bachmann’s first answer was, “I wish the federal government had defaulted.” Mr. Scarborough lost it, “had defaulted!” “A week after Americans lost — some of them perhaps lost half of their pensions. Lost half of their 401(k)s. When Trillions of dollars went down the drain with Americans suffering, she said that and got applause, and if anyone thinks that guys like my dad are going to be voting that way — they are out of their mind and they are too stupid not only to prognosticate, they’re too stupid to run slurpee machines in Des Moines.” “Michele Bachmann is a joke. She is a joke. Her answer is a joke. Her candidacy is is a joke — Iowa, if you let her win, you prove you’re a relevance once again.”

At the conclusion of Mr. Scarborough’s tirade, Michael Steele who was on the panel that morning on morning Joe, stated, “tell us how you really feel?” It’s refreshing to see that mainstream Republicans see Michele Bachmann for what she truly is. A right wing, Lunatic fringe-evangelical extremist; of the most dangerous sort.

If I were to vote Republican, at this point I would support Mitt Romney. Yes, the Mormon; he’s the only one making any sense. Wake up America before it’s too late! We can’t allow Michele Bachmann and the rest of the lunatic fringe to hold the American body politic hostage.
